One Two Three, Good Enough For USMC
God knows why we’d want our fighting forces to be pyshically fit.
Females in the Marine Corps will not have to meet the physical fitness standard--set to go into effect as of January --of being able to do at least three pull-ups, the Corps quietly announced on social media.
Unlike their female counterparts, male Marines have long been required to do at least 3 pullups.
The Marines have postponed the deadline for female Marines to be able to do at least three pullups for at least another year.
Currently, “women aren’t able to make the minimum standard of three pull-ups,” Marine spokesman Capt. Eric Flanagan told CNSNews.com. Fifty-five percent of female recruits tested at the end of boot camp were unable to do three pull-ups (1 percent of male recruits also failed).
Marine officers told NPR off-the-record that, given the three-pull-ups rule, they were afraid of losing “not only new recruits, but also current female Marines who can’t pass the test.”
Female Marines will be allowed to do the flex-arm hang instead of pull-ups this year. With the arm hang, a person grabs the bar with both hands and pulls their body up and holds their chin above the bar for as long as possible.
Uh huh, and to do the flex arm hang it seems that they have to do at least one pull up to get into the position. So will the ladies be given a lift, or have a step stool to stand on to start?
Disgusting.
Pull-ups have been used to test Marines’ upper body strength for over 40 years. The ability to pull-up one’s own body weight over a bar shows the upper body strength that, in combat, is needed to lift fallen comrades, pull one’s self over a wall, and carry heavy munitions. Combat Marines also carry a pack that weighs around 90 pounds, with gunners carrying an additional 50 or 60 pounds.
Never having been a US Marine, I am utterly stupefied that the men are only required to do 3 of these. I would have figured ... oh, about 100, maybe 75. How about 50? 40? They’re not regular Joes, they’re Marines! I guess my mental image of what makes a US Marine is about 60 years behind the times. I thought they were supposed to be tough guys, the hardest of the best. Silly Drew.
Oh, and BTW: chin ups and pull ups are not the same. Chin ups: palms face you. Pull ups: palms face away from you. Pull ups are a bit harder, but both work the lats (upper back muscles) and biceps.
Since chin ups put your biceps in a stronger line of pull, they’ll typically hit your biceps a bit harder than pull ups will.
Conversely, pull ups may hit your lats a bit harder, mostly as a result of your biceps being in a slightly weaker position.
Grip width also plays a role here too. The narrower your grip is, the more it will train your biceps. The wider the grip, the less it will train your biceps.

Dem Racis Skoolz
Camden NJ, right across the Delaware River from Philadelphia PA. Once a thriving city, it is now the blackest, poorest, most run down, gang infested, trashheap among any of the eastern states. The libraries have closed, the police department has nearly been laid off, the fire department likewise. It is a horrible cesspool long ago abandoned by the white people who built it. It has been an enclave of the Democratic Machine and all its corruptions for more than 80 years.
And this is the bottom line: More money per student is spent there than in nearly any other school system in the country, no matter how well off that community may be. And it makes no difference whatsoever. Because the populace has gone aboriginal, and couldn’t care less about schooling. WTF, the EBT gets renewed every month either way.
The new school superintendent in Camden, N.J., says it was a “kick-in-the-stomach moment” when he learned that only three district high school students who took the SAT in the 2011-12 school year scored as college-ready.
Paymon Rouhanifard on Tuesday told the school board and the community what he learned on a “listening tour” after he was named to the post in August.
He told the city’s Board of Education that low college readiness shows the district must do better.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (http://bit.ly/19cp4f3) the superintendent also says he also heard about safety problems in the district. He says one action he’s taking immediately is waiving the $75 background check fee for parents who want to volunteer in the schools.
In June, the state assumed control of the schools in the poverty-stricken city of 80,000.
“College Ready” according to the SAT folks, means scoring a 1550 or better on the modern SAT exam, which uses a 2400 point system these days. So this means taking the SAT, and scoring just less than what used to be called a failing grade (1550/2400 = 64.58%).
The SAT Benchmark was designed to measure the college readiness of groups of students. The SAT Benchmark score of 1550 is associated with a 65 percent probability of obtaining a first year GPA (FYGPA) of a B- or higher, which in turn is associated with a high likelihood of college success. Students meeting the benchmark score of 1550 were more likely to enroll in a four-year college, had higher first-year GPAs and were more likely to be retained for their second and third year than those students who did not attain the SAT benchmark.
Nice. So the BEST of the high school kids in Camden managed to just barely fail the SAT, or slightly better. And this is after you, me, and everyone else chipped in enough tax money to spend more than $15 per hour on each and every student in their school system.
Camden is no tiny town. The population is about 80,000 people. About 40 percent of the residents live below the poverty line. The FBI has ranked Camden first in the nation for violent crimes per capita in cities with over 50,000 residents.

The upbeat website of the Camden Education Association, the local teachers union, doesn’t appear to mention the disastrous failure of the union’s teachers to prepare students for college.“The Camden Education Association shall continue to advocate for quality working conditions, economic benefits, political involvement, and professional growth for its membership in order to promote the best education for Camden City students,” the site perkily promises. (notice there isn’t a single word about providing any kind of education for the students, quality or otherwise!)

Figures provided by the Common Institute of New Jersey show that the Camden school district spends $23,770 per student each year. Across the United States, average spending per pupil is a little over $10,000, according to Governing.com.
Camden has 5 high schools, with at least 2,000 students in that age bracket.

A truly evil woman
This is Edite Estrela of Portugal. She’s a member of the EU Parliment. She went on a rant today when the EU rejected the report that bears her name. The rejection left the ‘sexual left’ flabbergasted.
Why do I call her (and her allies) evil? Here’s some of the provisions that would have been imposed on the EU:
Children aged 0-4 should be informed about: “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body”, “early childhood masturbation”, “different family relationships”, “the right to explore gender identities”, “the right to explore nakedness and the body, to be curious”, etc. They should also develop “curiosity regarding own and others’ bodies” and “a positive attitude towards different lifestyles”.
How is this done unless you are going molest the child? The infants? A pedophile’s dream!
Children aged 4-6 should be informed about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body”, “early childhood masturbation”, “same-sex relationships”, “sexual feelings (closeness, enjoyment, excitement) as a part of all human feelings”, “different kinds of (family) relationship”, “different concepts of a family” and should develop “respect” for those different lifestyles and concepts.
Children aged 6-9 should go on learning about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body (masturbation/self-stimulation)” but they also should be informed about “different methods of conception” and “the basic idea of contraception (it is possible to plan and decide about your family).”
Children aged 9-12 should be informed about “first sexual experience”, “orgasm”, “masturbation” and should learn to “make a conscious decision to have sexual experiences or not” and “use condoms and contraceptives effectively”.

There are other provisions, like universal right to abortion, no ‘conscientious objection’ rights for doctors because that interferes with the right to abortion, etc.

European institutions, as well as the UN, are used to working in isolation, only hearing from groups largely funded by them, radical billionaires, and wealthy foundations.
Like all evil Leftists (but I repeat myself) she didn’t take defeat with grace:
This turn of events, spurred by massive citizen participation, upended the system of rule-by-bureaucracy that she counted on. Estrela lashed out at her colleagues on the floor of Parliament for not accepting the Women’s Rights Committee report. It was terrible, as she saw it, that “the most extremist and fundamentalist movements should have prevailed over the will of members.”
People like her should be taken outside and retroactively aborted.
Kudos for the EU for rejecting this slimey woman’s (allegedly a woman) ‘report’. I would personally label her a terrorist. She’s going to try again.

a very conservative lady politician, the target of the conservative press and party? I think so
Hardly know where to begin if I don’t start with the beginning. OK .... some days ago I posted about a lady who is a politician. No longer happy with the conservative party cos they have not lived up the ideals of same and anyway conservative in name only, she defected to UKIP. Which made the Brit PM pretty damn angry, it has been said in the press. So .... happily settled in her new party and a friend of UKIP leader, she is seeking to renew her political career. Well, not so fast.
Bmews readers may recall my post wherein I reported the lady was meeting with some resistance and taking some flak due to a comment made while making a video way back when. It was some yrs ago, and her then husband was acting as the cameraman.
She used the verboten words .... send em all back .... referring to immigrants. Especially the illegal and criminal who can not be deported if it might violate their human rights. Well as you’d expect, all hell broke loose. And mostly in the conservative (?) paper, the Daily Mail. (they do have some hard core cons at the paper and generally their editorials are on the conservative side) But do NOT support UKIP.
Well .... the old ‘R’ word was dragged out. Yeah. That one. No surprise. So to refresh your memory, here’s the headline in this conservative (?) paper posted I think last week here at bmews.

OK again so here we are with today’s paper and it just makes me see red big time. They really are out to destroy this lady and make no mistake about that.
They have gone into her past and found she once (1977 ) when a student, attended functions of the National Front which did have a racial platform. They wanted anyone who was not white removed from their country. I haven’t a clue what the rest of their platform consisted of.
But she attended. Notice how being a member of the communist party never really does anyone in?
Well she’s been dropped in it today and even her mom is telling a different story about her daughter’s past political activity and or beliefs. And of course, that bastard ex of hers.

The UKIP councillor at the centre of a racism row was a member of the far-Right National Front, it was claimed last night.
Victoria Ayling, a high-profile ‘trusted ally’ of UKIP leader Nigel Farage, joined the openly racist party and attended its rallies as a student, according to her former husband, a friend and even her own mother.
A Mail on Sunday investigation has also discovered Mrs Ayling is being investigated by police after allegedly making abusive comments about her former husband – who is a transvestite.
Her ex is Rob Ayling.
The Mail on Sunday can also reveal that Mrs Ayling and her new partner, Lord Kevin Couling – who purchased his title, the 64th Lord of Little Neasden – are also being investigated by police for an alleged hate crime against Mr Ayling.
The couple split in August last year after Mr Ayling had an affair.Mr Ayling – who admits being a transvestite – alleges that when he was moving his furniture out of the matrimonial home,
his former wife shouted at him:
‘You’re a bad tranny I’ve seen your website.’
And that my dear bmews friends and readers everywhere ... is enough to instigate a hate crime investigation.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: ‘On July 13, a 54-year-old female and a 51-year-old male, both living at the same address, were voluntarily interviewed in relation to section 4 of the public order act, hate crime.’
Police are understood to be analysing an audio recording of the incident.

Another poor negro is upset over a word used not in anger or insult but in a conversation. And it isn’t even the word nigger. Nope.
Seems like these days certain protected life forms can now even choose what words whitey gets to speak.
We’ve done this Gollywog thing in the past and left it there more than a year ago. Ppl offended on behalf of other people and all that nonsense.
Well, along comes this new crime, which has been brought to our attention by a broad nosed old bag who is going to take legal action.
First .... a bit of history on the subject.

The golliwog, golliwogg or golly was a black character in children’s books in the late 19th century usually depicted as a type of rag doll. It was reproduced, both by commercial and hobby toy-makers as a children’s toy called the “golliwog”, and had great popularity in Europe and Australia into the 1970s.
The doll is characterised by black skin, eyes rimmed in white, clown lips and frizzy hair. While home-made golliwogs were sometimes female, the golliwog was generally male. For this reason, in the period following World War II, the golliwog was seen, along with the teddy bear, as a suitable soft toy for a young boy.
The image of the doll has become the subject of heated debate. While some see the golliwog as a cherished cultural artifact and childhood tradition, others argue that the golliwog is a destructive instance of racism against people of African descent, along with pickaninnies, minstrels, mammy figures, and other caricatures, and has been described as “the least known of the major anti-Black caricatures in the United States”. In recent years, changing political attitudes with regard to race have reduced the popularity and sales of golliwogs as toys. Manufacturers who have used golliwogs as a motif have either withdrawn them as an icon, or changed the name. In particular, the association of the golliwog with the pejorative term “wog” has resulted in use of alternative names such as “golly” and “golly doll”.
British jam manufacturer James Robertson & Sons used a golliwog called Golly as its mascot from 1910, after John Robertson apparently saw children playing with golliwog dolls in America.
Robertson’s started producing promotional Golly badges in the 1920s, which could be obtained in exchange for tokens gained from their products. In 1983, the company’s products were boycotted by the Greater London Council as offensive, and in 1988 the character ceased to be used in television advertising. The company used to give away Golly badges and small plaster figures playing musical instruments or sports and other such themes. The badge collection scheme was withdrawn in 2001.
According to an editorial in The Times newspaper golliwogs were banned in Germany in 1934, on the grounds they were inappropriate toys for Aryan children.
In a statement reported by the BBC, Virginia (Ginny) C. Knox, previously brand director for Robertson’s and later Chief Operating Officer of the Culinary Brands Division of RHM, told The Herald Newspaper in Scotland in 2001 that the decision to remove the Golly symbol from Robertson’s jam and marmalade jars was taken after research found that children were not familiar with the character, although it still appealed to the older generations.
“We sell 45 million jars of jam and marmalade each year and they have pretty much all got Golly on them,” said Ms Knox. “We also sell 250,000 Golly badges to collectors and only get 10 letters a year from people who don’t like the Golliwog image.” Today, Robertson’s Golly badges remain highly collectible, with the very rarest sometimes selling for more than £1,000. = $1,634.52.

A black chef claims that her white boss racially harassed her when he mentioned the word ‘golliwog’ during a conversation about the famous Robertson’s jam labels.
Lawyers for Denise Lindsay, 45, claim that the word is ‘inherently discriminatory’ and has ‘racial overtones’ and should not have been used in front of their client.
But her boss Mark McAleese claims that he was talking about the jam label changing and has apologized to her and said that he had no desire to ‘violate her dignity’.
Her lawyers are battling to convince three top judges that the word is inherently offensive to black people and almost always discriminatory - no matter in what context it is used.
Violate her F***** what? How could he possibly violate something she hasn’t got and never had?
So I guess what we now have is or might be .... caution about any conversation that could be overheard by any darkie anywhere who will make the decision as to what is and is not offensive, even if offense wasn’t intended and even if the listener wasn’t personally offended, he or she MIGHT have been and anyway, how many words will have to be altered or stricken off the list of acceptable conversation?
Just look at this. Teach em to read and write, remove the chains and tell em they have rights and next thing you know they will want to marry your daughter. Oh wait ... they already do.
Her barrister, Daniel Matovu, told the court: ‘White people don’t get called golliwogs. The word is an overtly racial comment. [The word] golliwog cannot be interpreted in any other way.
‘What the authorities make clear is that, when something is inherently discriminatory and clearly has racial overtones, there is no further debate.’
British jam manufacturers Robertson’s started using the Golly character, dressed in a yellow waistcoat and bow tie, on its jars from 1910.
In the late-1920s, the company started producing popular badges featuring the character, including a golfing, cricketer and footballer version. The items became collectables.
Miss Lindsay was working as an assistant chef manager at the LSE’s Bloomsbury student halls in February 2009 when the comment was made by chef manager Mr McAleese.
He used the word while discussing ‘the change to the label of Robertson’s jam’, the court heard.
But Miss Lindsay, of Clapham, south west London, was upset and an employment tribunal later found that what Mr McAleese said amounted to ‘an isolated act of harassment’.
He apologised and said that he had not uttered the word for the ‘purpose of violating her dignity’.
The tribunal ruled: ‘We have concluded that, for a white manager to use the words “golliwog” and “golliwog jam” in the course of a conversation with a black Afro-Caribbean colleague is unwanted conduct.’
However, Miss Lindsay’s harassment claim was dismissed after the tribunal said it had been brought too late.
Whether that decision was justified is one of the central issues now being considered by the Appeal Court judges.
Miss Lindsay’s other complaints of race discrimination were dismissed by the tribunal and, although she still has an active victimisation claim, she is asking the court to reconsider the issue.
Her barrister Mr Matovu argued that the tribunal was plainly wrong to dismiss the golliwog complaint purely on grounds of delay.
However, the LSE’s barrister, Shaen Catherwood, insisted that Mr McAleese’s use of the controverisal word - spoken quietly and quickly - did not come anywhere close to racial harassment.
‘I say it is unsatisfactory that somebody should be labelled with a finding of harassment on racial grounds when the actual context in which the word was used was innocent and inoffensive,’ he told the court.
Lord Justice Moore-Bick, Lord Justice Floyd and Lord Justice Christopher Clarke reserved their decision on the case until a later date.
Her lawyer is what? Matovu? What tribe is that?
This case should have been thrown out of court at the get go. I think the bitch is looking for a large payday. Whitey owes her ya know.

This is more or less a followup on a story I posted yesterday with regard to the situation re. gypsies, also known as Romas, and the influx expected next year from Eastern Europe.
Make no mistake and no misunderstanding please. People have very good reason to be very much worried. The ones who are already here pose a problem you don’t have in the states. Well, I suppose you have another minority almost as well protected. But at least you all share a nationality. The coming infestation here in the name of diversity and multi- culture involve those who do not share in any way, the culture or the language or any sort of tradition of the host country.
Too many will be arriving for the benefits which believe me, are quite well known Europe wide. Those of them who can not read will have heard stories about the overly generous Brits.
We live in dangerous times and there isn’t anything interesting about it.

Due to official dogma, this area is rapidly turning into a cauldron of suspicion and squalor. A never-ending influx of Roma people from eastern Europe is fuelling combustible tensions with local residents, many of whom are immigrants from Asia. As complaints about feckless, intimidating behaviour by the Roma intensify, the air is now thick with warnings about ethnic conflict.
The sense of deepening social chaos in Page Hall was vividly illustrated last week by this paper’s reports of two attempts by Roma immigrants to make money from the sale of babies. In one, Colin Barton, the owner of a chip shop, said that he was approached by a teenager who offered him a new-born child for £250. It is almost unbelievable that this could happen in 21st-century Britain but such depraved conduct is part of the world created by the ideology of multiculturalism, where the values of traditional civilisation are constantly undermined.
Page Hall’s descent into social breakdown is just a foretaste of what will happen across Britain next year as the final restrictions on migrants from eastern Europe are removed. From January, 29 million Bulgarians and Romanians will gain the right to settle here, bringing a large number of Roma to our shores.
Already there are estimated to be 200,000 Roma people living here but that number will be dwarfed once all border controls are lifted. “In January the only thing left will be the goat,” says one Roma father of seven, warning that his entire village plans to come to England.
This wave of mass immigration from two of Europe’s most impoverished countries will be a disaster for Britain, hastening the collapse in national identity, wrecking social cohesion and imposing an intolerable strain on civic infrastructure.
Welfare bills will soar, not least because many migrants are adept at exploiting the laxity of our benefits. Even now a third of all sellers of the Big Issue fundraising magazine are Romanian, since such a role allows them to claim self-employed status and thereby gain access to social security. Incredibly, over the past five years there have been 27,000 arrests out of an estimated population of 87,000 Romanians living in London.
This act of institutionalised self-destruction has been foisted on us by a treacherous political class that selfrighteously preens itself over its devotion to multiculturalism and open borders. The imposition of mass immigration over recent decades has been accompanied by a barrage of official propaganda extolling the joys of diversity and portraying all opposition to this creed as racist bigotry.
But the spin machine cannot maintain the illusion of success.
Even the high priests of political correctness have to admit that something has gone wrong. So last week two of Sheffield’s most senior MPs, Labour’s David Blunkett and Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrats, attacked the conduct of the Roma in their city.
Blunkett warned that there would be “an explosion” unless there is a change “in the culture of the incoming Roma community”, while Clegg said that the Roma “behave in a way that people sometimes find intimidating, sometimes offensive”. Yet for all its apparent candour, the language of the two men reeks of opportunism and double-standards. In reality they were both responding to grievances expressed primarily by the local Pakistani community.
Would they have used such rhetoric if it was just the white British working-class people complaining about a minority group? I doubt it.
In such a case they would probably have shrieked about the intolerance of the indigenous population. Indeed, Clegg now has the nerve to bleat about the duty of the Roma “to be sensitive to the way of life as lived in this country”, yet he had never taken such a robust line with Muslims in Yorkshire, even as some cling to deeply unBritish practices such as the adoption of Sharia law or the wearing of the burka.
Obsessed with hierarchies of victimhood the Left sees grievances as only being legitimate if they come from a migrant community.
They pose as champions of progress yet their fixation with multiculturalism is dragging us into a new dark age. In many of our cities, social solidarity is being replaced by divisive tribalism, democracy by identity politics.
Real integration is impossible when ethnic groups are encouraged to cling to customs, practices, even languages from their homeland.
Female emancipation has been set back by misogyny imported from the developing world, as re-flected by honour killings, forced marriages and female genital mutilation. There are estimated to be 66,000 cases of such torture in Britain yet not a single prosecution has been mounted. In the name of liberal tolerance, vicious intolerance is flourishing in our midst, repressing free speech and promoting dangerous extremism.
The tragedy is that immigrants wanted to come to Britain precisely because it was a well-ordered and harmonious place. “The gentleness of English civilisation is its most marked characteristic,” wrote George Orwell in 1941. Now, as Page Hall shows, all that is being lost through the multicultural revolution.

I guess I let the damnedest things annoy me, so things like acid reflux shouldn’t be any surprise.
Thing is ... I see something like the following article and just don’t understand the idiots that honestly believe the crap they do.
Hey, personally I think the kids who did this look kinda silly, but on the other hand it was a clever stunt.
A send up of Somali pirates. The pose the girl took in this photo looks plain dumb, but then I suppose not being an actress or a professional model, she struck the pose she felt looked .... ? Smart? Whatever.
But for all the folks now shouting RAAAAAAACE. I tell ya I’d like to mowem all down. Somali pirates happen to be black. Or at least a very dark brown. So the kids dress up but since they’re white, they are now condemned AND .... The suck ups at the newspaper want someone to ID the kids.
This is all the result of very successful brain cleansing and indoctrination on a massive scale, by the politically correct left bed wetters, of generations of youth from the time they enter schools. And maybe before. They have managed to carry things so far that nowadays, to use the term colored in reference to a person is now “offensive” and “insensitive.”
Meanwhile, for all the advance in medicine, in science and technology and other other spheres of human endeavor, people are becoming more and more like sheep and not much smarter. Here. See for yourself.

A group of law students were at the centre of a racism row today after they ‘blacked up’ for a fancy dress drinking session.
The ‘Beerienteering’ event, organised by The Edinburgh University Law Society, had an Around The World fancy dress code.
But four members sparked outrage after pictures emerged of them dressed as Somali pirates with their faces painted black.

The group - made up of three males and one female - happily posed for pictures but were later challenged by angry members of other societies.
One student said: ‘This is an image of black and ethnic minority oppression becoming manifested in students’ costumes.
Is that last line some kind of major pc bs er what? Does the jerk actually believe what he has said? Or does he say it because he thinks he should believe it?
I’m telling you folks ... the universities are taking in and graduating fools and worse.

‘Racism should be opposed on every level and Edinburgh University and we as a student body should do all within our power to make sure these attitudes are called out.’
An official event page describes Beerienteering as ‘a steeplechase around the bars of Edinburgh full of plenty challenges and surprises’ and tells attendees to ‘expect over-the-top fancy dress.’
Teams of four students including one girl, must race around Edinburgh’s pubs completing various ‘challenges’ along the way to find out their next destination.
The winning team is the one which completes the route in the shortest time.
It is understood that door staff at The Hive nightclub in the city were challenged by other students after allowing the controversial group entry to the venue.
The door staff are believed to have replied that those who were offended could ‘head somewhere else’.
The Edinburgh University Law Society is an independent society and is not affiliated with the Edinburgh University Students Association (EUSA).
Nadia Mehdi, vice president of Societies and Activities at EUSA, said: ‘I’m really shocked to see that in this day and age these students weren’t aware of or chose to ignore the offence they would cause by painting their faces black.
‘It’s not acceptable and should not be condoned. The Law Society is not a EUSA society so we can’t discipline them, but I will be bringing this to the attention of the Law School.’
Keir Gilius, President of the Law Society, said in a statement: ‘The fancy dress theme was All Around the World.
‘As a society, we try to arrange our events with innovative and interesting themes leaving scope for attendees to use their imaginations.
‘In no way was this theme intended to incite racism or cultural appropriation and, as a society, we are vehemently opposed to discrimination of any form.
‘On behalf of the members of our society, we apologise unreservedly for any upset caused.
‘In response to some of the costumes designed, in the future we will strive to ensure that any fancy dress events will actively discourage the use of any costumes that could be perceived as being offensive.
‘If so, the wearers may be denied participation in said event.
‘As a society, we respect our members’ right to freedom of expression, however, cultural insensitivity is intolerable and this is something that we are completely opposed to.
Funny innit how some folks feel they are qualified to decide what is culturally insensitive and intolerable. I guess anything that isn’t politically correct by all these future lawyers is intolerable.
‘In light of the ongoing and comprehensive commentary on our Facebook page, I would not propose to discuss any further details.’A spokesman for the University of Edinburgh said: ‘The University takes issues relating to equality and diversity very seriously and hopes and expects that all members of the University community do the same.
‘To this end, it has a range of relevant policies and procedures in place to address such issues as they arise.’

A Romanian man was filmed laughing and dancing after he was arrested by officers in London, who were waiting for a car to take him to the police station.
The video has caused heated debate in Romania where the country is trying to insist that Romanians who come to the UK will behave themselves and not simply going there to steal.
But the young man in the video who was not named by Romanian media was said to have been stopped this week in London and was being held in handcuffs after being caught stealing.
Standing in front of his friends they put loud Romanian Manela music on their car stereo prompting the young man to make several jokes in Romanian and start to dance some steps to the popular tunes.
The others are heard laughing and joking off-camera with the young man making several pelvic thrusts indicating that he is not in the least bit worried.
At one point he rests his shoulder on the police officer as if he’s sleeping even though he clearly isn’t drunk or inebriated in any way. For him the whole situation is just a joke.
User comments posted in Romania ask whether the man’s parents are proud of his actions that have shamed the country.
The video ends when the man is taken by police to a car and driven away to the police station.
In October it was reported that Policemen from Romania and Poland are being drafted in to help British forces combat an Eastern European crimewave.
Scotland Yard has recruited the officers, who have flown to the capital for a two-year ‘tour of duty’ to help identify and deport overseas offenders.
The move comes ahead of the lifting of border controls on immigrants from Romania in two months’ time.

However, something somewhat related came up of even more interest and a good example too, in comments made by a former high govt. official here. A man who belongs to the left wing Labour Party.
He still doesn’t have all of it but .... he isn’t too far off the mark and it just surprised me to read this from liberal.

The culture he speaks of that he asks them to change, can not happen in the lifetime of anyone reading this now. If ever.
These are NOT people in the way we normally think of that word. Not even close.

Mr Blunkett called on Roma migrants from Slovakia to ‘change their culture’ because their dumping of rubbish and refusal to send their children to school had caused ‘understandable tensions’

British cities could be hit by rioting because of an influx of Roma migrants, David Blunkett has warned.
The former Home Secretary said ‘frictions’ with local people could lead racial tensions to ‘explode’ in a repeat of the riots that rocked Northern towns in the summer of 2001.
Mr Blunkett called on Roma migrants from Slovakia to ‘change their culture’ because their dumping of rubbish and refusal to send their children to school had caused ‘understandable tensions’ with residents in his home city of Sheffield.
Sheffield citizens have already set up street patrols to combat anti-social behaviour by the Roma. Britain is home to more than 200,000 Roma migrants, most of them from Eastern Europe.
‘If everything exploded, if things went wrong, the community would obviously be devastated,’ Mr Blunkett said.
‘We saw this is Bradford, Burnley and Oldham all those years ago when I first became Home Secretary. If things implode it’s not outside here that cops it, it’s the community.’
On that occasion more than 200 people were jailed after racial tensions erupted and Asian communities clashed with far-Right groups such as the National Front.
Mr Blunkett claimed that the cultural gulf between the community in Sheffield and the Roma was far greater than that between white Britons and Pakistani immigrants.
He said: ‘The Roma youngsters have come from a background even more different culturally, because they were living in the edge of woods, not going to school, not used to the norms of everyday life. We’ve got to change that.’
Mr Blunkett said locals were entitled to ‘grumble’ about the large influx of migrants from Roma communities, but they should not ‘stir up hate’. ‘I wouldn’t want other people to put up with things I wouldn’t put up with myself,’ he said. ‘This is nothing to do with criticising people about being racist. By all means grumble, but don’t stir up hate. If you set a fire alight, you came from Bradford, you saw it – nobody gained from that.’
Mr Blunkett said the ‘understandable tensions’ between locals and Roma were evidence of a ‘cry for help from very, many people’ who want the authorities to intervene and return their communities to ‘the semblance we had before’.
The former Home Secretary called on the police to persuade Roma people ‘not to spend all their time in the street’ and discourage them from throwing rubbish.
He accused the Government of having its ‘head in the sand’ over the true numbers of Roma in Britain. In 2011, official estimates suggested ‘relatively few Roma citizens’ lived in the UK.
The Mail yesterday quoted the mayor of two Romanian villages as saying half of their residents will move to the UK when restrictions are lifted in January.
Koller Gabriel-Adrian said he believed ‘50 per cent’ of the 1,100 people in poverty-stricken Berini and Uliuc could travel to Britain in search of higher salaries – and the generous welfare system – in the New Year. He added: ‘In January, the only thing left in the village will be the goat.’
If he could only see what many others have, he would surely understand that the hate he asks people to put aside, is pushed onto them by a rootless, lawless rabble. A rabble that should by rights have no rights and especially not the right to exist. Their breathing is an affront to civilization, and there should by rights, be a hunting bounty on them.
If you should happen to be at a bus station or railway in many European cities, you might find yourself confronted by a woman with what looks like a drugged baby in her arms, crying help me, help my baby. A few hours later you may see the same babe in arms but a different woman. They will be holding out to you, a pitiful flower on a stem or a sprig of something all teary eyed. DO NOT put a hand on that flower or on that sprig, because once touched you may have bought it. Your arms will be grabbed and if you pull away you’ll hear a SCREAM you won’t think could come from anything human. You might want to check pockets and purses btw. Gotcha!
And then there are the kids young as 8 to 10. Wife has a friend who tells us how she was robbed. Her purse was carried across her shoulder and under an arm, and not in the usual way many carry one hanging off the shoulder.
A kid had the moves of a dancer she says, as he grabbed the strap and whirled her in a circle slipping the purse off and over her head. She says it all happened in a matter of seconds, and he then tossed the bag to a young girl who ran off with it. She in one direction and he in another. She said she didn’t think the boy could have been much older then 10 and couldn’t get a really good look at the girl but that she was small.
About a month ago friends of ours here in the village went on a trip. They are about our age and belong to one or two travel groups, one being connected to the National Trust. Well anyway ... they took a trip to Prague which they said was a delight, although it could have been better but for.
I’m sure I don’t have to spell it out.
Their tour guide passed out safety pins and instructed all the men to pin their pockets closed. I don’t know what she may have advised the women in the group. Oh ....
EVERYONE it was stressed, should carry larger amounts of cash and passports in a safety belt inside their cloths, leaving only a tiny amount in pockets or purse should a lucky thief manage the pocket anyway or get off with a purse.
Why should people who have earned their way in life and now want to do those things ppl do, tour, relax, enjoy the scenery, why should they have to go through these motions that in past time would have been unheard of?

A man found guilty of a frenzied knife attack on his ex-girlfriend could be freed in months after investigators lost vital evidence which could have convicted him of attempted murder.
Michael Bennison, 29, could have faced life behind bars after stabbing the woman once in her side and five times in a broad daylight attack on a street in York.
But the charge of attempted murder would not stick after forensic teams misplaced DNA evidence from two knives.
As a result prosecutors were forced to accept the 28-year-old’s plea to a lesser charge of unlawful wounding, which carries a maximum sentence of just five years.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that on December 14 last year Bennison, of no fixed address, was travelling in a car in York with the female victim, Amy Evans, 27, and another man.
Nick Adlington, prosecuting, said Bennison, of no fixed address had been in a volatile, on-off relationship with Miss Evans and an argument broke out in the car.
When they arrived at their destination they got out and Miss Evans produced a knife. But Bennison took the knife from her and stabbed her six times, once in the side and five times in the back.
He then ran off down an alleyway and went into hiding before he was found two days later.
Describing how the evidence came to be lost by North Yorkshire Police, Mr Adlington said: ‘The swabs went missing from the forensic science service in York. I have been told there has been a full internal review.’
Mr Adlington said as well as the lost evidence, the attempted murder trial faced other problems, including the refusal of an expert witness to come to court.
Jailing Bennison, who has previous convictions for domestic violence on different partners, for a total of four years, Mr Justice Bennison told him he posed a high risk to all women.
After already spending a year behind bars on remand, Bennison could be eligible for parole within just 12 months.
The judge said: ‘Originally you faced a charge of attempted murder but because vital evidence had been lost a plea to section 20 was accepted.
‘You pose a high risk of harm to the victim and to all women. There is clearly a significant risk to female members of the public.
‘There was an intention to commit serious harm.’
The sentence also included a guilty plea for assaulting a man outside a flat in November last year after they got into an argument over noise.
After falling to the floor, the victim was kicked in the head by Bennison before he jumped with both feet onto his back.
The court heard that he had 14 previous appearances at court for 27 offences, that included battery and affray.
John Gregg, defending, said Bennison had ‘wrestled with his own demons’, which included drug abuse, but that he has made progress in prison.
Oh good. Now I understand a bit more. He made progress in prison. Progress meaning what? Right. This time he only stabbed the woman instead of jumping on her head or on her back. Good. That good. That’s “progress”.
What a fracked up system in play here. What the hell ... in a few years they’ll be living under sharia anyway.

Land? nope. we’re off to ethiopia to pick up more darkie asylum seekers
Yesterday I posted a story re. the further insanity of this place, allowing failed asylum seekers from the turd world to take flying lessons, all at the taxpayers expense. And not only that but the guy’s brother also is going to receive lots of money for education from the British cash cow. So that’s the general background for Drew’s posted comment on my post.
I was just going to mention how these two were willing to save the councils money: they really only wanted instruction on how to take off and fly; landing wasn’t something they were interested in. Oh, and could we train for big jets please?
Trial run complete, Phase One passed. Got their stupid government to pay for it and set a rule that they will pay for every other muhajadeen that comes along. Suckas.

Taxpayers face a bill of tens of thousands of pounds so a failed asylum seeker can train to be a pilot.
Yonas Admasu Kebede will be given flying lessons costing £10,000 even though the Government says he must leave the UK next year.
The 21-year-old from Ethiopia will also get up to £10,000 in living expenses.
A council is being forced to pay up after a court ruled it must meet Mr Kebede’s education costs after leaving school.
Critics called the decision a ‘blank cheque’ which is ‘deeply unfair’ on taxpayers and questioned whether learning to fly should be paid from the public purse.
The council is also funding Mr Kebede’s younger brother, Abiy, 20, to start a degree at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The Kebedes came to the UK with their older brother and father in 2004. Their asylum application was refused but they were granted discretionary leave to stay in the UK until November 2014.
Shortly after their arrival, they were abandoned by the older family members. They were placed in council care in Newcastle and attended a local comprehensive, where they attained GCSEs and A-levels.
By law, local authorities have a duty to help meet training costs of those with no parents so that they can enter the workplace.
Usually, these costs are living expenses for apprenticeships and college courses – not the enormous sums associated with a degree or professional qualification.
But the brothers’ lawyers argued that the council should pick up the bill as their immigration status barred them from applying for a student loan.
Labour-controlled Newcastle city council fought the claim in the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal, but lost, in a ruling likely to set a precedent for other claims.
It now faces providing loans of up to £20,000 per year to each brother, with the amount to be repaid once they start work.
The brothers plan to apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK but there is no guarantee it will be granted. They may be able to transfer to a normal student loan arrangement if their application is successful – which could see them repaying some of the cost of their education.
Mr Kebede is taking the lessons at Flight Training London at Elstree Aerodrome, Hertfordshire, and hopes to then apply for a degree in aviation.
The training for a private pilot’s licence involves a minimum of 45 flying hours and seven theoretical exams as well as a flight test.
The flying school charges £165 per hour-long training session, while a flight test costs £185.
